1. If I previously applied to be a show host at HSN, may I submit a new videotape? Yes.
2. What are the guidelines for my videotape? The videotape must be VHS format. All videotapes must be a maximum of three minutes long. Your taped footage should be recent and must be created by you. Tapes/footage recorded by an outside company will not be accepted. Learn more how to apply and what you should include on your tape.
3. What if I don't have a camera? Be resourceful! Borrow a friend or relative's camera. Be sure to review the format requirements for submission.
4. How do I know if you received my tape and materials? Due to the high-volume of mail we receive, we will not be able to answer any questions about the receipt of your tape and other materials. We suggest sending your tape using any of the major couriers who can provide you with tracking information. If you're someone we see as a potential host, you can expect to hear from us within 90 days.
5. Do I need to have TV experience? No.
6. Can I get my videotape returned to me? No. All videotapes will become the sole property of HSN once submitted and will not be returned to you, whether or not you are considered for a position.
7. What should I wear? Wear a stylish suit or outfit. Solid colors work best. Stay away from all white, red or black. Small prints or designs that are confusing or harsh to the eye are not recommended. Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel good about yourself.
8. How should I fix my hair? For best results on your tape, your hair should be away from your face. We suggest neatly pulled back or a trendy style/cut. We recommend natural or professionally colored hair.
9. What about my nails? Your hands and nails are extremely important in presenting product on HSNtv. Clean, professionally manicured hands make all the difference. Brightly colored nail polishes or nails that are too long are not recommended.
