Scrapbook page example - baseball Alec Baseball 2005
Loved the baseballs around this frame, and they went great with his color of uniform. I also loved the green in the accent pieces. Cut each corner of the background at an angle from the outside to the center. Then reattach each corner with red brads, add the picture, and adhere everything to a red cardstock background. Sand the frame slightly and rub a little black ink around edges. Then add other accent pieces and finish off with journaling.

The roses in frame looked beautiful with the color of the sunset. Stitch backround paper to fabric with a straight stitch on sewing machine. Rub frame slightly with sandpaper, and tie to fabric with 4 different ribbons in the corners. Punch tag shapes from coordianting cardstock. Place letter stickers on tag shapes and adhere shapes to fabric with copper brads.

Scrapbook page example Playing Bride
My daughter always asks me to play dress up, and only wants to be a bride. So I bought some material and flowers for the veil. After seeing how much fun she had playing “bride,” I couldn’t wait to take these pictures. I used the floral pattern paper for the background on the page, because it really brought out the red flowers my daughter was holding. I laced rounderz through the satin trip to create a border along the top of the page.

Scrapbook page example You Are Home to Me
My daughter’s shirt color in this picture worked perfectly with the burgundy and pink papers in the Home kit. This page is all about being a girl, and how much my daughter means to me. I used the brushed stripe background paper and the burgundy twillz from the Home collection to frame the word “home.” I used the “home” buttons to make a partial border on the bottom, and added flower diecuts created from the paper in the kit.

Scrapbook page example, Dad Fatherhood
This picture was taken during a family camping trip. I love the way my husband and son are both sitting, looking over the nearby lake. I used the brushed gray cardstock paper from the Dad collection to create the base for this page. I embellished the page with buttonz and alphabetz to spell out “fatherhood” and enhance the border.

Scrapbook page example, Dad Hero, Best Friend, Father
Almost any man can be a father, but not just any man can be a dad – these pictures exemplify that. They gray paper I used in the background matches the gym equipment perfectly. I used squares of four different papers from the Father collection to create the background for this page. The twillz and snapz were added to the left and bottom of the photos to serve as a frame. Buttons from the kits spell out “wonderful.”

I used papers from the Summer collection for this page. The blues and oranges matched perfectly with the colors in the main and smaller pictures. I used the floral blue paper in the background and mixed the dotted and striped papers throughout. A matching zipperz was used as the right and left border to balance the page, and also to frame the smaller photos.

Scrapbook page example A Sad Goodbye
How do you explain war to a two-year-old? After September 11th, our family experienced the turmoil that comes when a loved one leaves for the war. For this page, I wanted to capture those emotional hardships. From Sarabooks™ Friendship Words and Quotes, I mixed single words that inspire emotion in addition to my journaling.

Scrapbook page example, July 4th Born in the USA
This Mickey Mouse paper had the theme I wanted to use for this colorful photo, but didn’t include the color blue, which is mandatory for a July 4th page. I resolved this problem with a red, white and blue striped border to cover the black belt that was originally on the page. Then I used red and blue cardstock mat for my photo and journaling.

I love that this picture shows my daughter’s fresh face and innocence. Her dress matches the flower paper used as the background. The flower print on the scrapbook paper was the inspiration for the matching flower design I drew to accent the page.

Scrapbook page example, babies Baby
I chose a blanket paper to get a warm and cozy feeling. I love the definitions paper to describe all of the wonderful things about babies. The baby letters are so fun & hip -- you can even use string, wire, or fibers to hang them. The safety pin really brought the whole look and feel together. I inked the edges to tie in the ribbon and the black & white photo. The buttons add a little sweetness to the overall layout.

I love candid and action shots. I like the way you can see the movement in these photos. The paper & embellishments compliment the photos, without overpowering them. The images are the most important part of a layout and the embellishments, stickers, titles & papers are there to support them. I am a big fan of “less is more.” I try to choose just the right embellishments to catch the eye.

On this page I used the Punch-Out quotes as my inspiration. I selected 3 shades of purple and I even made my own alphabet letters by running the paper through my printer. I added a black edge with black pen and mounted them with foam tape.

Scrapbook page example, girls Kala & Kelsey page
These cute photos really begged for floral embellishments. I wanted to use the bright colors of summer, but I needed a solid between the patterns to break things up a bit. I used white for matting and then tore the patterned paper edges, providing a white edge. The white edge acted as an outline and really made the torn-edge flowers pop.

Scrapbook page example, baseball Baseball Fun
The inspiration for this page was the simplicity of youthful baseball games. I found that the pictures spoke for themselves, so just a simple background was all that was needed to make an effective and fun page.

Scrapbook page example, husband To my Husband
I love this picture of my husband and me. I wanted to dedicate a page to him that expresses my love. I did a lot of inking around the paper and picture to give a softer, warm effect. At the bottom, I did a little bit of paper patching to tie the colors and paper together.

Scrapbook page example, family Family Love
My family brings such joy and love to my life and I wanted to create a page to capture my emotions. I used a lot of fiber on this page and some inking. Fiber gave it that cute homey feeling while the ink softened the edges of the paper. I cut the printer paper down so that the cardstock behind it would frame the page.
